◆Calm Precincts◆
On the days of Buddhist festival or the new year visiting, a lot of people woud come together in the precincts, but there are very a few people in usual. Very calm there.
Though in a deep mountain, each building is huge.
Honbo, the main hall is of Honmune architecture. Both side of the hall looks like a ordinary private house in the late Edo period. It has a big gable on its front side.
The hall connects with Nyoirindo, a Nyoirin-Kannon cathedral, with thacthed roof. The temple has two Kannondo halls. Another is on the upper terrace.

◆Two cows Welcome visitors◆
Two cows is lying in front of the cathedral. They form a front gateway to Niomon on the upper terrace where we go through a stone stairway.
It is a dignified turret gate in red with twelve pillars.
We would find another cathedral deifiying Kannon, i.e. the Goddes having eleven faces. It is named Daihikaku. Daihi means the great mercy of Kannon and Kaku means a hall.
In the Buddhist universe (Mandara) Kannon is one of Bosatsus, that is a trainee pupil of Nyorai. Standing near people, she ocasionally would have eleven faces and a thousand hands to watch and save them.
By the way Nyorai is the highest rank of Buddhist Gods. Shaka is one of them.

◆Precincts of 4 Terraces◆
In front of Niomon and Daihikaku we would find other upper terrace on the south side. It is the third terrace. Shotokutaishi-den hall and a bellfry are standing there.
Moreover we would find the fourth terrace on the edge of ravine. I suppose there was a five- or tree-storeied tower once.
